Lawn Care Program

Our six-step lawn care program treats your grounds with essential fertilizers and pesticides (as needed) to create and maintain a healthy lush turf throughout the year.

Pelletized Lime Application This helps to keep the soil pH in check as well as supplies both calcium and magnesium supplements to the soil

Round 1  (March-April) Fertilizer with crabgrass pre-emergent supplies a slow-release early spring fertilizer to wake the lawn from dormancy while adding a pre-emergent crabgrass control to suppress crabgrass from germinating. We also spot-treat early spring broadleaf weeds such as chickweed and dandelions,

Round 2  (May) Fertilizer with crabgrass control pre-emergent. We repeat the first round with a slightly different formulation to keep your turf actively growing and extend the crabgrass control. Again all broadleaf weeds are treated including plantains, ground ivy, clover and dollar weed to name a few.

Round 3  (June-early July) Fertilizer with insect control supplies a slow release fertilizer to help your lawn survive the summer stress while suppressing insects as well. If it isn’t too hot – an application of broadleaf weed control may be done as well if needed)

Round 4  (Late August-September) A balanced fertilizer is applied to help the lawn recover from summer stress. Broadleaf weeds are treated if fall seeding is not being done within the window of the pesticide’s residual.

Round 5  (Late October-November) A balanced fertilizer is applied to help the lawn take a deeper root for the winter.

We also offer a pre-emergent grub control application in July for lawns that have been known to suffer from grub damage. Grubs are larvae that hatch from the eggs of mating beetles. They feed on the roots of the lawn and damage is generally noticed in the fall as the turf will just peel up from the soil.

We also offer fungus control for lawns that suffer from dollar spot, brown patch or summer patch. During summer month’s when the heat and humidity are high, turf becomes a breeding ground for fungus. Many people believe that their lawn is “dry”, but if properly diagnosed and treated, fungus damage can be greatly reduced or if caught or even eradicated.

We offer both nutsedge and kyllinga control. They are both sedges and require a specific pesticide to control and eradicate. Many times repeated applications are needed to eradicate these weeds.
